HELPFUL INFORMATION BEFORE REGISTERING & FAQS

• Please ensure you know what playing level your child is – click here to review playing abilities. If your child is registered for a class that is not appropriate for their age or ability, your child will not be allowed to attend the class and you will be charged a non-refundable $10 cancellation fee.

• Please note the additional nonmember required fee to play in HCCTA’s Sunday classes at Carmel Racquet Club Classes (bottom of the page or click link). If you paid the nonmember fee for the 2023 Oct. to Dec. Indoor session, you do not owe the nonmember fee for the 2024 Jan. to March Indoor Session.

  • Sundays – 1/7
  • Saturdays – 1/13
  • Tuesdays – 1/16
  • Wednesdays – 1/17
• Classes have different dates, schedules and info. Please make sure you read all the information for the class you are registering for.
• Indoor classes fill up. There is limited space during the indoor season. There are NO MAKE-UP options during the indoor season! Although our policies state no make-up classes, we do allow make-ups when we can accommodate a make-up class. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate make-up classes during our indoor sessions like we can during our outdoor sessions. To view our class policies – click here.
• My child needs a racquet: you can order a racquet for your child when you register and you will get the racquet on the first day of class.
• Late Fee: Late fees cannot be waived or refunded.  A late fee is charged to offset the additional work late registrations require. Thank you for understanding.
  • Sunday Registrations: Registrations received on or after 12/31 will incur a $10 late fee.
  • Saturday Registrations: Registrations received on or after 1/6 will incur a $10 late fee.
  • Tuesday Registrations: Registrations received on or after 1/9 will incur a $10 late fee.
  • Wednesday Registrations: Registrations received on or after 1/10 will incur a $10 late fee.
• Beginner Players Class Options – We have beginner classes for ages 4 to 12 (Pre-K to Grade 6). We are unable to offer beginner classes for real ball (grades 7-12) classes during our winter/indoor season due to limited indoor court space. Beginner class options for all ages are available during our Spring, Summer, and Fall Sessions. Below are the class options for beginner players for the Indoor 2024 Session:
  • Ages 6 to 12 – Tuesdays at the Durbin
  • Ages 4 to 12 – Wednesdays at Durbin
  • Ages 6 to 10 – Saturdays at Noble Crossing
  • Ages 4 to 10/pre-k to k and red ball (grades 1-3) classes on Sundays at Carmel Racquet Club.
• Adult Classes – During the indoor season we only offer 3.5 & Above Point Play. All other adult classes will resume when we begin our outdoor season in the Spring.

Durbin Elementary Tuesday Classes

Ages 6 to 10: 4:30 to 5:30 pm

Ages 8 to 12: 5:30 to 6:30 pm

Ages 8 to 12: 6:30 to 7:30 pm

Classes are held in a gym using a short court net and lower compression balls.

Dates: Tuesdays – 1/16, 1/23, 1/30, 2/6, 2/13, 2/20, 2/27, 3/5, 3/12, 3/19 – 10 classes

Dates: 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/14, 2/21, 2/28, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20 – 10 classes

Class Dates: 1/7, 1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/18, 2/25, 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24 (NO CLASS on 1/14)

Cost (for 11 classes):  1 hr classes – $235, 1.5 hours – $350

Location: Carmel Racquet Club – 225 East Carmel Drive, Carmel, IN 46032

Court 6 – last court on the left when facing the courts or walking down the hallway between the courts

Please do not enter the courts until the buzzer has rung. A buzzer rings every 30 minutes and it is standard court etiquette to wait to enter courts until the buzzer has rang for your class start time.

If the player you are registering is NOT a Carmel Racquet Member you MUST pay the NONMEMBER Carmel Racquet Club (CRC) Fee when you register. If this is applies to you, when you fill out the registration form please select the Nonmember Carmel Racquet Club Fee option. If you already paid the $55 nonmember fee for the October to December 2023 classes, you DO NOT owe the fee again.
