Special Olympics

Bringing the Joy of Tennis to Athletes of All Abilities

About The Program

Special Olympics tennis in Indiana began in 2013 with just 20 athletes at Carmel High School, launched by students Nick Hennessey and Molly Fletchall, with the support of HCCTA Founder, Helen Petersen. Today the program is offered during the summer in Hamilton County and Washington Township.

This completely free program provides:

  • 8 Hours of Tennis Instruction

  • A Gently Used Racquet
  • A T-Shirt
  • Bottled Water & Snacks
  • Awards Party

HCCTA proudly funds 100% of this initiative, ensuring that every athlete has the opportunity to experience tennis in an inclusive and supportive environment. Athletes must register on the Special Olympics Indiana website in the county where they reside.
